Phil Marshall, President and CEO of Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies, is here for the special needs children of our community—ensuring their abilities are seen and strengthened, empowering them to reach their full potential. Since joining Kids Center in 2023, Marshall has worked closely with staff, therapy providers, and board members to update vision and mission statements and produce a 3-year strategic plan. This plan will guide Kids Center’s growth and innovation on its mission to provide “essential medical therapies” for children that can be a model across the United States.

Prior to joining Kids Center, Phil Marshall was President and CEO of Hosparus Health for 15 years, from 2006 until early 2021. During that time, Marshall strategically guided his team with a passionate commitment to provide caregiver support “wherever you call home” and in the greatest chapters of life.This commitment included support, palliative and hospice care as well as grief counseling. Hosparus Health is now among the top 20 largest, non-profit hospice organizations in the nation, by number of patients served, and has a focused vision to be the leader in health innovation.

Recognized as one of America’s sought-after non-profit healthcare leaders, and a valued contributor within the non-profit hospice industry, Phil joined the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation (NPHI) – formerly the National Hospice Work Group – in 2012. As one of 9 founding national board members, he served as NPHI’s National Board Chair. Marshall is also one of the founding members of the Louisville Healthcare CEO Council and served on its executive committee. In addition, he served multiple terms as Chair of Health Enterprises Network (HEN Board of Directors, which is part of Greater Louisville, Inc. (GLI). Marshall has served as the Chair and in other executive roles within the Kentucky Association of Hospice and Palliative Care (2010-2018). Phil was also Chair (2011-2012) of the Bluegrass Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization International.

Phil’s journey as a board member of Cabbage Patch, as Executive Director/VP of the Norton Healthcare Foundation, Chief Administrative Officer and before that Chief Executive Officer at The Healing Place in Louisville makes him the absolute right leader to guide Kids Center forward. Earlier in his career, Marshall held leadership positions with US Bank in Cincinnati, National City Bank in Cleveland and other Kentucky banking institutions, including Executive Vice President of Jefferson Banking Company.

He has a bachelor of business administration from the University of Michigan and a master of business administration finance from the University of Indiana.
