Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies empowers children with physical, behavioral, and intellectual challenges to reach their full potential through comprehensive and integrated medical therapies, regardless of a family’s capacity to afford the full cost of care. Our transformative care inspires our children and their families to build confidence, encourage joy, and live with hope for the future.

Kids Center is a multi-disciplinary non-profit outpatient therapy center for children up to 21 years of age who experience developmental disabilities or delays. More than 1,000 kids receive care annually at Kids Center, and we deliver more than 700 visits per week. Kids Center has a team of 60, including direct service providers, administration, marketing/development, and leadership.

The Opportunity

The Partner, Human Resources will lead and oversee all aspects of our human resource operations, including benefits and compensation, talent acquisition and retention, employee relations and culture, compliance and policy management, and human resources systems and reporting. As a trusted advisor to our senior leadership team, the Partner, Human Resources ensures all human resource policies are in alignment with the mission, values, and strategic goals of Kids Center. This position plays a key role in the development and implementation of policies and practices that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture where people feel valued, inspired, and connected to the Kids Center mission. The Partner, Human Resources, reports directly to the Sr. Director/AVP, Finance & Administration.

Key Responsibilities

Benefits and Compensation

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Collaborate with leadership to review compensation structures and ensure equity and competitiveness.
  • Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and organization policies.
  • Manage employee paid time off (PTO) tracking, approvals, and reporting, maintaining accurate records and supporting staff with related inquiries.

 

Talent Acquisition and Retention

  • Design and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for both clinical and administrative positions.
  • Lead onboarding and orientation experiences that help new team members feel welcomed, informed, and connected to the mission.
  • Create employee engagement and retention initiatives, creating an environment where staff feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
  • Coordinate employer-provided training programs and continuing education opportunities, ensuring staff have access to relevant professional development resources and that participation is tracked and documented appropriately.

 

Employee Relations and Culture

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-aligned workplace culture that reflects our commitment to children, families, and each other.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for staff, providing guidance on HR policies, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Facilitate employee recognition and wellness initiatives.

 

Compliance and Policy Management

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational values.
  • Oversee accurate and confidential documentation related to employment, benefits, and performance.

 

HR Systems and Reporting

  • Manage the HR information system (HRIS) and personnel records, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Develop and present HR metrics and reports that inform leadership on issues relating to human resources.

Other tasks as requested by supervisor.

Candidate Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
    SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
  • Willingness to explore and integrate AI-driven tools and automation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Willing to undergo background check and drug testing

Compensation and Benefits

This position is a professional, full-time, exempt staff assignment, and will be benefit eligible. Compensation will be based on experience and will range from $60,000 to $80,000. Our generous benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance, optional dental and vision insurance, disability and life insurance, and a 3% 401K annual contribution.
