Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies empowers children with physical, behavioral, and intellectual challenges to reach their full potential through comprehensive and integrated medical therapies, regardless of a family’s capacity to afford the full cost of care. Our transformative care inspires our children and their families to build confidence, encourage joy, and live with hope for the future.

Kids Center is a multi-disciplinary non-profit outpatient therapy center for children up to 21 years of age who experience developmental disabilities or delays. More than 1,000 kids receive care annually at Kids Center, and we deliver more than 700 visits per week. Kids Center has a team of 60, including direct service providers, administration, marketing/development, and leadership.

The Opportunity

The Marketing & Communications Manager is an integral part of the Development & Marketing team. Reporting to the Vice President, Development & Marketing, the Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for leading and executing comprehensive communication and marketing strategies to support the Kids Center’s mission and goals. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our messaging and branding, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and enhancing the visibility and impact of the Kids Center.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication and marketing strategies aligned with the Kids Center’s mission, goals, and values.
  • Create annual plans that support fundraising initiatives, events, donor engagement, and organizational growth priorities.

 

Content Creation

  • Lead the development, editing, and production of mission-centered content across print and digital channels.
  • Produce compelling stories featuring families, therapists, outcomes, and community supporters, appropriately balancing compliance.
  • Oversee creation of newsletters, brochures, impact reports, email campaigns, and talking points.
  • Maintain a content calendar that supports development, programs, and organizational milestones.

 

Brand Management

  • Ensure all communications are consistent and maintain brand integrity across all touchpoints.

 

Public Relations

  • Manage media relations and external communications to shape public perception and build a favorable image.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with appropriate local media and influencers.
  • Draft and distribute press materials needed to generate media coverage.

 

Digital Marketing

  • Manage Kids Center’s social media channels and implement strategies to grow engagement and reach.
  • Oversee email marketing, including newsletters and donor communications.
  • Maintain and update website content in partnership with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Track and analyze digital performance metrics to guide decision-making.

 

Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and strategy.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify communication needs and objectives.

 

Analysis and Reporting

  • Track KPIs for campaigns, social media, email performance, and PR visibility.
  • Produce regular reports for leadership and the board.
  • Use data to refine and improve communication strategies.

 

Other tasks as requested by supervisor.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and/or communication
  • Experience with graphic design a plus
  • Experience with website CMS platforms and email marketing tools preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Proficiency with computer skills and grant management software
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound judgments
  • Comfort interacting with families, children, donors, and community partners
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Willing to undergo background

Compensation and Benefits

This position is a professional, full-time, exempt staff assignment, and will be benefit eligible. Compensation will be based on experience and will range from $60,000 to $70,000. Our generous benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance, optional dental and vision insurance, disability and life insurance, and a 3% 401K annual contribution.
