Senior Vice President, Program Services

About

Lisa Campbell, PT, DPT, received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Louisville in 1988 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012 from the University of Kentucky. She held a Pediatric Clinical Specialist certification from 2010 – 2020.

Lisa knew from a young age that she wanted to work with children, and a career working with children with special challenges has fulfilled her dreams. She has worked at Kids Center since graduating from University of Louisville’s Physical Therapy Program in 1988. Her first 28 years at the Kids Center were spent providing direct physical therapy care to many children and their families and her heart remains with providing the highest quality care for each child who comes through Kids Center’s doors. Helping children, and their families, participate more fully and have their best quality of life remains a driving force for Lisa. She made the transition to senior leadership in 2017 and is now the Senior Vice President of Program Services and works side-by-side with our Senior Leadership team overseeing operations and clinical functions of both campuses. Lisa still finds time to provide direct care, her original love, when possible.

In addition to providing outpatient care at the Kids Center, Lisa has also provided care through Early Intervention in homes and has been adjunct faculty at UofL and Bellarmine University teaching in pediatric physical therapy classes. Sharing knowledge and mentoring new therapists continues to be an important part of who she is.

Lisa was born in Fairborn, Ohio and has lived in many places in Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee while growing up in a ministry family. She is an active member of Shively Baptist Church, a wife, mother to a son who shares her love of helping families with children with special needs, and an aunt to many. She loves being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, laughing, good music, good food and a beautiful sunrise or sunset.
