Kids Center is proud to offer a variety of specialty medical clinics as part of our service model.
Kids Center offers an orthopedic clinic several times a month where families can take advantage of being seen by an orthopedic physician with their therapist present for collaboration. An orthotist is also present for bracing and collaboration.
Kids Center offers a spasticity clinic providing a comprehensive
assessment of muscle tone by a team of specialists including neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopedics and neurosurgery. The child is evaluated by a team of therapists who collaborate with the team of physicians for a specialized care plan. This is the only Spasticity Clinic in the area providing care and procedures including selective dorsalrhizotomy and baclofen pump placement.
Kids Center offers a multidisciplinary feeding clinic where a child with feeding/eating concerns is assessed, and a comprehensive plan of care is devised. Recommendations may be made for ongoing therapy with a specific discipline, further testing, consults with a specialist, or the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Program here at our center.
