Kids Center is a multi-disciplinary non-profit outpatient therapy center for children up to 21 years of age who experience developmental disabilities or delays. More than 1,000 kids receive care annually at Kids Center, and we deliver more than 700 visits per week. Kids Center has a team of 60, including direct service providers, administration, marketing/development, and leadership. Kids Center is searching for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our
dynamic team.

Opportunity & Key Responsibilities

This Project Coordinator supports and aids Kids Center leaders in our Development and Marketing mission by coordinating/managing projects, data and innovating fundraising activities. The coordinator will handle administrative tasks of a project including maintaining project management documents, liaising with families, therapists, board members and community members and administering Raiser’s Edge (combined with Financial Edge) software. In addition, analyze the objectives of the project and determine project requirements; contribute to establishing and controlling the project budget and expected revenues from events; audit project processes and identify and address problems and risks that may be encountered; enable communication between the project stakeholders and facilitate meetings; coordinate the project schedule, monitor deadlines and write status reports; oversee and delegate some project tasks.

This Development Project Coordinator will be an integral part of the Development Team and will work closely and collaboratively with the VP of Development, along with the rest of the senior leadership team, to coordinate/support regular team meetings and specific fundraising initiatives. This role will help lead customer service tasks/projects and to provide support as needed to the senior leadership team. In addition, this critical and developing role will coordinate with Program Services (assist with the website and social media material) and Finance, Administration (gift processing and billing) & Customer Service teams as needed. Specific job duties include:

  • Playing a key role in coordinating and collaborating within our growing need for improved data, technology, AI, donor relations, events, grant writing, marketing and public relations plus major and planned giving;
  • Working closely with our project coordinators for Program Services and Administration to raise more money and attract additional volunteers/resources;
  • Data tracking including outcomes for use in reporting, grant-writing and other areas as the need arises;
  • Supply Ordering for Development and Marketing including marketing support materials and event supplies;
  • Administering the donor database with the team (including training);
  • Being an integral piece of the planning and execution of Special Events and center Tours;
    • Annual Champions Breakfast
    • Start Line Social (to kick off the Walk and Roll)
    • Walk and Roll Family Event
  • Provide meeting support: take minutes in key meetings to identify and execute projects from the following committee and task force meetings for momentum: Development and Community Relations, others as needed:
    • Coordinate meeting invites including setting up virtual meetings as needed;
    • Schedule meeting sites; order food; facilitate attendance and overall experience;
    • Coordinate handouts, technology, PowerPoints and other presentations, flow of meeting and minutes;
  • Support management of overall donor experience and connections;
  • Other tasks as needed and directed.

Annual Compensation

$47K – $52K based on experience; variable compensation up to 4%

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree a plus
  • • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
    • Database, social media and website experience preferred (Raiser’s Edge experience/training a
    • Strong Communication Skills
    • Highly Organized

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three to five years’ experience in related field or sales management
  • Non-profit experience in human services preferred
  • Experience with Outcomes and Donor Tracking
  • Project Management Software Experience preferred

Kids Center has two large therapy locations, one on Eastern Parkway and one on Bluegrass Parkway, both in Louisville, KY. This role will be housed at our Bluegrass Parkway location but will be expected to spend time at both locations while also having the ability to work some days from home.
