Getting Started

Your first step in getting started is to contact the Kids Center where we will schedule a time for you and your child to come in for an assessment. The assessment, which takes about an hour, is conducted by a... therapist and is a combination of testing, observation, and parent input.

After the assessment is completed, the therapist will discuss the results and talk about what kind of treatment plan will prove to be the best. Following this, a family services coordinator or health services coordinator assist you in co-coordinating your child's therapy needs.

If you decide that you want your child to receive our services, a therapy schedule will be discussed. At all times, we encourage you to ask questions and voice your concerns. Your input is very important. Knowing and understanding what you want and need will make our time with you and your child a greater, more productive experience for everyone.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact Janet Meek at (502) 635-6397, ext. 28, or .

Your Part In Therapy
One of the goals of our therapy is to show parents how to continue the program at home. You learn by participating in each session.

By participating, you learn how to make these therapies part of everyday life for both you and your child. In doing this you enhance your child potential for growth and development.

The Kids Center will work with you and your insurance company to help develop a payment schedule. We will also help you determine if you qualify for any type of financial aid.
